  • 125g Unsalted Butter
  • 2-3 tbsp Golden Syrup (or honey/corn syrup)
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder (unsweetened)
  • 200g Plain Sweet Biscuits (Digestives, Marie, Rich Tea, or similar)

Method

  1. Prepare your biscuits: Crush the biscuits into varying sizes in a zip-top bag or with a food processor.
  2. Melt the base: Combine chocolate, butter, golden syrup, and cocoa powder in a heatproof bowl and melt over a bain-marie or in the microwave.
  3. Combine the magic: Add crushed biscuits to the melted chocolate mixture and stir until well combined.
  4. Press and chill: Line a baking tin with baking parchment, pour in the mixture, and press down firmly.
  5. Refrigerate to perfection: Chill for at least 2-3 hours or overnight.
  6. Slice and serve: Lift from the tin, slice into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

Use good quality chocolate for best flavor. Don't over-crush the biscuits. Allow the dessert to chill thoroughly for the best texture.
