Small saucepan
Whisk
milk frother or immersion blender
large mug
spoon
Ingredients
1
cup
milk
(dairy or non-dairy of your choice)
1/2
cup
strong brewed coffee
(or 2 shots of espresso)
2
tbsp
pumpkin puree
1
tbsp
maple syrup
(or to taste)
1/2
tsp
ground cinnamon
1/4
tsp
ground nutmeg
1/8
tsp
ground ginger
1/4
tsp
pure vanilla extract
whipped cream
(optional, for topping)
ground cinnamon or nutmeg
(optional, for garnish)
Instructions
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
Whisk the mixture constantly until it’s heated through and begins to steam (do not let it boil).
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Use a milk frother or immersion blender to froth the milk mixture until it becomes light and creamy.
In a large mug, pour the brewed coffee or espresso.
Slowly pour the frothed milk mixture over the coffee, holding back the foam with a spoon if desired, and then spoon the foam on top.
Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg, if desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy your cozy autumn spice latte!
Notes
For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso instead of brewed coffee. Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup to taste.
