Instructions
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice.
Heat the mixture, stirring frequently, until it is hot but not boiling. Remove from heat.
Whisk in the vanilla extract for added flavor.
Brew your coffee or espresso while the milk mixture is heating.
Divide the coffee or espresso into two mugs.
Pour the hot pumpkin spice milk mixture over the coffee in each mug, stirring gently to combine.
Top with whipped cream, if desired, and sprinkle with additional pumpkin pie spice for garnish.
