These easy cheeseburger sliders are packed with seasoned beef, melted cheddar, and buttery toasted buns for a crowd-pleasing appetizer or simple dinner. They come together quickly and bake in one dish for easy serving.

Equipment

  • skillet
  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Oven
  • Spatula
  • pastry brush
  • Knife

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is softened, breaking the meat into crumbles as it cooks.
  • Drain any excess grease, then stir in the Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, ketchup, and mustard. Remove from heat.
  • Without separating the rolls if possible, slice the slider buns horizontally in half and place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
  • Spread the seasoned beef mixture evenly over the bottom buns, then top with the halved cheese slices.
  • Place the top buns over the cheese layer.
  • Mix the melted butter with sesame seeds if using, then brush it over the tops of the buns.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add sliced pickles or a little onion powder to the beef mixture. If you prefer, use American cheese instead of cheddar.
