These easy cheeseburger sliders are packed with seasoned beef, melted cheddar, and buttery toasted buns for a crowd-pleasing appetizer or simple dinner. They come together quickly and bake in one dish for easy serving.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is softened, breaking the meat into crumbles as it cooks.
Drain any excess grease, then stir in the Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, ketchup, and mustard. Remove from heat.
Without separating the rolls if possible, slice the slider buns horizontally in half and place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
Spread the seasoned beef mixture evenly over the bottom buns, then top with the halved cheese slices.
Place the top buns over the cheese layer.
Mix the melted butter with sesame seeds if using, then brush it over the tops of the buns.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, add sliced pickles or a little onion powder to the beef mixture. If you prefer, use American cheese instead of cheddar.
