A refreshing and simple homemade sorbet made with fresh watermelon, lime juice, and optional sugar for sweetness.
Ingredients
4
cup
fresh watermelon
(cubed and seeds removed)
1/4
cup
granulated sugar
(optional, depending on sweetness of watermelon)
1
tbsp
lime juice
1/4
cup
water
Instructions
Place the watermelon cubes in a blender or food processor.
Add the sugar (if desired), lime juice, and water to the blender.
Blend until smooth and no chunks remain.
Pour the watermelon mixture into a shallow, freezer-safe container.
Cover the container and freeze for 2-3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to break up ice crystals and ensure a smooth texture.
After the sorbet has reached your desired consistency, scoop into bowls and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, use a ripe and sweet watermelon. Adjust sugar based on the natural sweetness of the fruit.
