These festive brownie kabobs are a fun red, white, and blue dessert perfect for summer celebrations. They combine fudgy brownies, fresh fruit, marshmallows, and a drizzle of white chocolate for an easy party treat.

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • parchment-lined tray
  • wooden skewers
  • Knife

Instructions

  • Prepare the brownies according to your favorite recipe or mix, then cool them completely so they cut cleanly into cubes.
  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes to help prevent splintering.
  • Cut the brownies into 1-inch cubes and wash and dry the strawberries and blueberries.
  • Melt the white chocolate chips or vanilla melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 15 to 20 seconds until smooth. Stir in the vegetable oil if needed to thin the chocolate slightly.
  • Thread the skewers with a brownie cube, strawberry, blueberry cluster or a few blueberries, and a marshmallow, repeating the pattern until the skewer is filled, leaving a little space at each end for easy handling.
  • Arrange the kabobs on a parchment-lined tray. Drizzle or lightly dip portions in the melted white chocolate, then add sprinkles if desired.
  • Let the kabobs sit at room temperature for a few minutes, or refrigerate briefly, until the chocolate sets. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For easier assembly, make sure the brownies are completely cooled before cutting. If you want a neater drizzle, transfer the melted chocolate to a small spoon or piping bag. Fruit can be swapped with raspberries or banana slices, but serve soon after assembling for the freshest presentation.
