  • Spatula
  • 9x13-inch baking pan

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until well combined.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, then whisk until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  • In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 28 to 32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before lifting them out.
  • Decorate the cooled brownies with orange and black candy-coated chocolates, Halloween sprinkles, and candy eyes or chopped candies as desired.
  • Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For extra fudgy brownies, avoid overbaking and let them cool completely before cutting. You can swap the Halloween decorations for any festive candy or sprinkles you have on hand.
