These ham and cheese sliders are a warm, savory crowd-pleaser made with sweet rolls, deli ham, Swiss cheese, and a buttery seasoned topping. They are easy to assemble and perfect for parties, game day, or a simple family meal.

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • small mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • pastry brush
  • aluminum foil
  • Knife

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Without separating the rolls, slice the whole sheet of rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish.
  • Layer the ham evenly over the bottom halves, then top with the Swiss cheese slices. Place the top halves of the rolls on top.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt.
  • Spoon or brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls, making sure to cover them well.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for 5 to 10 minutes more, until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  • Let the sliders cool for a few minutes, then separate and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the assembled sliders sit for a few minutes before baking so the butter mixture soaks into the rolls. You can substitute provolone or cheddar for the Swiss cheese if desired.
