This iced pumpkin chai latte is a cozy, café-style drink made with pumpkin purée, warm spices, and chilled chai tea. It's easy to make at home and can be customized with your favorite milk and sweetness level.

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • tall glass

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Brew the chai tea and let it cool to room temperature, or chill it in the refrigerator for faster cooling.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, whisk together the pumpkin purée, maple syrup or honey, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth and fragrant, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Add the milk and warm the mixture gently for 1 minute, whisking to combine. Do not let it boil.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the cooled chai tea.
  • Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and pour the pumpkin chai mixture over the ice.
  • If desired, top with heavy cream or a little frothy milk and finish with an extra sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness if needed, then serve immediately.

Notes

Use any milk you like for a dairy-free version. For a stronger spice flavor, add a little extra pumpkin pie spice on top. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add more maple syrup or honey to taste.
