This Oreo Dirt Cake is a creamy, no-bake dessert layered with chocolate cookie crumbs and a fluffy vanilla filling. It is an easy crowd-pleaser that chills into a rich, pudding-like treat.

Equipment

  • food processor
  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Rubber spatula
  • 9x13-inch dish

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Place most of the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse into fine crumbs, or crush them in a sealed bag with a rolling pin. Set aside about 1 cup of crumbs for the topping.
  • In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy. Add the powdered sugar and mix until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the vanilla pudding mix with the cold milk for about 2 minutes, until it begins to thicken.
  • Fold the pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture until smooth, then gently fold in the whipped topping.
  • Spread half of the remaining Oreo crumbs in the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish or large trifle dish. Spoon the pudding mixture over the crumbs and spread evenly.
  • Top with the rest of the Oreo crumbs, including the reserved crumbs, to cover the surface.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set, before serving.

Notes

For the best texture, chill the dessert overnight if possible. You can also top it with gummy worms or extra crushed cookies for a fun presentation.
