Instructions
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice.
Whisk continuously until the mixture is hot but not boiling, about 3-5 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Use a frother or immersion blender to blend the mixture until it becomes frothy, or simply whisk vigorously.
Pour the brewed espresso or strong coffee into a mug.
Slowly add the pumpkin-spiced milk mixture to the mug, stirring gently to combine.
Top with whipped cream if desired and sprinkle with a dash of pumpkin pie spice for garnish.
