A refreshing and easy-to-make sorbet perfect for hot summer days, featuring fresh watermelon and a hint of lime.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Place the cubed watermelon in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  • Strain the watermelon puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp or remaining seeds, if desired.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the strained watermelon puree, granulated sugar (or honey), lime juice, lime zest, and a pinch of salt. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Pour the mixture into a shallow, freezer-safe container and cover with a lid or plastic wrap.
  • Place the container in the freezer and allow the sorbet to freeze for 4-6 hours, stirring every hour to break up ice crystals and create a smooth texture.
  • Once fully frozen and smooth, scoop the sorbet into serving bowls and garnish with additional lime zest or fresh mint leaves, if desired.

Notes

For a sweeter sorbet, adjust the sugar or honey to taste. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for added flavor.
