This Texas Trash Dip is a warm, creamy, cheesy party dip loaded with taco flavor, beans, green chiles, and toppings. Serve it hot with tortilla chips for an easy crowd-pleaser.
In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, and refried beans until smooth and well combined.
Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the Mexican blend cheese, all of the cheddar cheese, and the drained green chiles.
Spread the mixture evenly into a 9-inch pie dish, 8x8-inch baking dish, or similar oven-safe dish.
Top with the remaining 1/2 cup Mexican blend cheese, black olives, jalapeños if using, and green onions.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted.
Let the dip cool for 5 minutes before serving with tortilla chips.
Notes
For extra heat, leave the jalapeños in or add a little more taco seasoning. You can also substitute pepper jack cheese for part of the Mexican blend cheese.
